Audience profile for who would read my magazine

Below is my survey. My survey includes six different questions which range from questions from asking what price ranges you would prefer your magazine to cost to what would be the most suitable name for my magazine. I did this survey to give me an idea of what kind of magazine the audience would be most interested in for example I found out which was the most popular music genre. This helped me a lot because I now know what magazine I am going to create which will match what information the audience gave me.

This is question 1.

As you can see by this chart out of the percentage that took my survey there was 50% male and 20% female. This percentage showed me that my magazine was aimed more towards males then it was females. However i am not going to aim my magazine more towards the male populstion because i want my magazine to be succesful with both genders and also the contents inside will attract both genders.

This is question 2.

In this chart from my survey it shows that the top 3 most popular music genres where rock, indie and pop however I am just going to base my magazine on rock and indie because these are the most two popular choices and out of the three top choices these two will be easier to link together and will work well together. Also by having my magzine specifying in two genres this will make a wider audience for who my magazine can be sold too. Also these are the most two popular genres so therefor this shows that rock and indie must be quite popular music genres.

This is question 3.

I then asked what magazines where read by my audience so when I was coming to do the layout of my magazine I could refer back to these magzines and look at what was good about there structure and colour scheme and see how think could be linked to my magazine. Also this gave me a insight into what music genre magzine was the most popular.

This question shows me that everyone that answered my survey would be interested to buy a magazine which was based around there genre. This question links back to Question 2

This is question 5.

This chart shows the price range in which the audience would be happy to pay for this magazine This shows me that the middle price category is the most popular therefor people do not want to spend over three pounds on a music magazine.

This is question 6.

This question was to help me finalise what i wanted my magzine name to be. I could not choose between these three so I got the audience to answer this for me. This showed me that the most suitbale and most popular name for my magazine would be 'FRESSH' so this is the name I am going to use for my music magazine.
