Risk assessment

Through out the whole photoshoot there were many hazards that i had to be aware of for my own safety and the safety of the models that i was using.

A hazard that would mainly effect the models that i was using for the front cover of my magazine was the lighting that we used. This is because the lights where very bright and sometimes where used very close to the models face which could effect there eyes and cause migraines or straining of the eyes. Also when dismantelling the lights they produce alot of heat so when dismounting them from the stand i had to be careful where i was touching because they would get very hot which could cause burns to the hands.

Another hazard is that there where loose wires hanging above and on the floor which where coming from the lights, this would dangerous because when taking my pictures in the room it had to be very dark so it was very hard to see where you would be stepping. The hazard would be that the models would trip over the wires and could cause harm to themselves. Also if the wires were caught this could pull the lights over on to people or even have smashed debris on the floor.
